Should You Wear Jeans with a Jacket?

Can I pair jeans with jackets that have different colors & patterns?
I’d say yes, but only when you understand the different colors, as well as patterns and materials because that’s more interesting or contrasting, but also more casual, and it goes better with jeans.
Features: Notched lapels because peak lapels are too formal; patch pockets because they’re more formal than flat pockets or jetted pockets.
Patterns: Little houndstooth pattern or a small micro check are a classic Prince of Wales check or even multi color window panes.
Jacket colors: Lighter shades of blue, maybe a lighter blue or even a royal blue.
Always wear a solid color shirt with a pattern and a pattern shirt to make a statement with a solid color!
