What is a black tie?
Semi-formal evening attire, also called a black tie, inargulably offers the most striking look for evening events that starts around 6PM. The black tie comprises several design elements or components: Black or midnight blue wool; Peak lapels or shawl collars; Side vents or ventless (no center vents); 6×2 double-breasted or one-button single-breasted; Lapels, buttons, and pocket welts confronted with grosgrain or black satin.
