#ThrowbackThursdays
The lounge suit was originally developed in the 1850s to the 1860s in Scotland. It was crafted of heavier fabric and was intended to be a garment for casual outdoor events. The matching aspect of trousers and pants, in particular, gave it a less formal look, because morning coats and frock coats were worn with rather contrasting trousers. Another differentiating factor was apparently the length of the coat. It was a much shorter coat, had no tails and was cut more sack-like without distinct front dart.

Get the smart casual look with Oxford Shirts
#WearitWednesday
The Oxford shirt defines a smart casual to nicety. It is the ideal hybrid, and classic whites and blues have long been part of wardrobe staples. Thick fabric offers the Oxford shirt a relaxed edge compared to finer dress shirts, whilst the collared design offers a smart look. All of this combines to make the Oxford shirt one of the most reliable and versatile and smart-casual pieces in a men’s wardrobe.
Give Your Unworn Pants A New Life
#TeachingTuesdays
Here is a quick hack to offer unworn pants a new life
Chances are that you have some pants in your closet that does nothing than just sit there. You neither wear them nor try to get rid of them either. A great way to bring those unworn pants back to life is to convert them into shorts. Put them on and mark the required length, pick a pair of fabric scissors and snip away. If you don’t prefer the raw edges showing up, cuff the legs once or twice as needed.
Shadow Stripe Suit For Your Monday
#MotivationalMondays
“Someday is not a day of the week.” — Denise Brennan-Nelson
There is one fabric trend that has always stood the test of times, the shadow stripe suit, made of fabric where the stripes are actually formed when the suit fabric is woven in a drop needle design producing the shadow stripes. The shadow stripes are a tone on tone color design that maintains one part of the stripe a little shiny and another part of it matte. Compared to a Pinstripe suit whose stripes are contrasting, the shadow stripe suit is tonal in nature.

“I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.” –J.R.R. Tolkien

Here Are The Alternatives To Jeans
#FreestyleFridays
I’d recommend field pants and corduroy pants as fabulous alternatives to jeans. They’re as simply relaxed, yet look more sophisticated and refined. They look great for all casual occasions, and play well with virtually everything from polo shirts to button downs.
50s Men’s Casual Outfit
#ThrowbackThursdays
What differentiated 1950s men’s casual outfit from the other eras is the gamut of options—the bold and splendid dash of colors and the awesome use of new materials and textures. Furthermore, the cost of fabric materials declined post war. Introduction of new synthetic materials made clothes ready to wash and wear; the movies ensured new forms of fashion spread faster. As for men, the 1950s offered the opportunity to wear clothes any time of the day. The diversity became mainstream in casual clothing.
Get The Semi Casual Business Look
#WearitWednesday
What is the go-to-outfit for business semi-casual? I’d recommend navy blue blazers, a classic wear that is fashion-forward without looking too business-like, particularly when teamed up with a pair of jeans or chinos.
Don’t Go For Synthetic And Shiny Outfits
#TeachingTuesdays
In a formal business environment, avoid synthetic and shiny fabrics for your suit—they reek that they’re off the streets. Not only do they look out of sync in a formal setting, but also super uncomfy. Do away with transparent and translucent fabrics, glistening bedazzled pieces with chunks of gems and glitters. Even metallic belts may look inconsistent with the formal tone.

Business Dress Code For Starters
#MotivationalMondays
“The only thing worse than starting something and failing … is not starting something.” – Seth Godin
For starters who are clueless on what standard dress code is in a business formal environment, start with a full matching business suit, including a jacket and dress pants. Darker colors are more formal. Besides matching pants and jacket, it is recommended to wear button-up collared shirt, teamed up with a tie. Wearing bold and bright colors or patterns in dress shirts is a strict no no. Instead go for beige or light blue or white for collared shirts. The tie’s colors and tones should match your suit and dress shirt.
SemiFormal Wedding Outfit
#WeddingsByBucco
“Many people spend more time in planning the wedding than they do in planning the marriage.” — Zig Ziglar
In a semiformal setting, if you aren’t wearing a tux, but a suit and tie during the colder months, you’re likely to see darker colors and heavier fabric materials. But do ensure that the suit should match, and you should still be wearing a collared shirt.
