A typical old-fashioned suit style for men

#Throwbackthursdays

Look at the man and his retro style! Though these can be old-fashioned now, they are truly timeless styles that ought to be celebrated for centuries to come.

The extra-wide, padded shoulders and peak lapels do all the talking. The moderately dark suit and trousers, with their white shirt and pretty dark tie, serve as an exemplary example of our old fashion. The perfectly combed hairstyle adds more elegance to this style, doesn’t it?

Moving away from the usual fall style to the standard business suit this week!

How do I wear a single-breasted, two-button suit?

#TeachingsTuesdays

Last week, we saw how to wear a single-breasted, single-button suit. This week, let’s check out how to wear the same single-breasted suit but with two buttons.

When standing, the first button on your suit must always be fastened. Alternatively, the second button must never be fastened. Whereas, when sitting, you must unbutton your first button. These rules for first and second buttons apply only to single-breasted suits and tuxedos.

Stay tuned for more rules on fastening your suit buttons!

#MotivationalMondays

Well, though we have much respect for the great Italian fashion designer and his works on luxury fashion, at Bucco, we have some differences of opinion with his aforementioned quote. According to us, both style and fashion have quality. In those days, maybe quality might have created a difference. But not in this century anymore.

October’s Finest: Men’s Suiting Styles for Autumn Elegance

Undoubtedly, autumn has always been one of the best times of the year for men to try and test new outfits, styles, and fashion for themselves. In that row, Bucco Couture, your all-time favorite custom suit designer, has come up with some styling tips and suggestions for autumn. Make use of them now!

Men’s Suiting Styles for Autumn This Year

This October 2023, let’s dress up in an earthy style with a bold touch in every aspect of our outfits. Let the colors symbolize the falling golden leaves and the darker tree bark. Let the style symbolize your bold choices with bespoke and balanced accessories. Let the layers of your suit symbolize and embrace autumn elegance.

(i) Autumn Color Palette for Men’s Suits

When you think of earthy shades, what comes to mind? That leafy green, tree brown, and golden yellow? However, autumn colors can be more impressive, thick, and enticing.

The bright and bold colors that we suggest for this fall are early espresso, sun orange, cherry cobbler, real brick red, dark forest green, burnt umber brown, marigold yellow, and pumpkin pie. The light and mild colors are old olive green, fog gray, fern green, light honey brown, cinnamon cider, old sun gold, tender peach, and pale papaya.

(ii) Light and Dark Suits in Fall: The Golden Rule

Well, though there are no standard rules as such for wearing light and dark suits in the fall, we, at Bucco, follow a golden rule that enhances the suit styling. When you choose a dark blazer or 2-piece suit, prefer light-hued accessories, including the inner layers. Alternatively, when you choose a light-colored blazer (in fall, maybe pastel color choices), prefer dark accessories and inner layers. The important aspect is that the two colors must blend well with each other. For example, check out this bright royal blue suit!

(iii) Customize Your Layers

After the warm summer, you can start adding as many layers as possible this fall. Remember, waistcoats or vests are the only options you have. You can play around wearing cardigans, sweaters, scarves, shawls, shirts, t-shirts, etc. Wisely match your inner layers with your blazers and trousers, and test which works best for you.

(iv) Prefer Made-to-measure Over Ready-made Suits

There is no point in taking so much effort to choose your suit color, style, accessory, etc. when you’re not tailoring your suit to your perfect measurements. Prefer made-to-measure, personalized suits over standard, ready-to-wear suits. Because only a custom-tailored suit can give you the perfect silhouette that you’re looking for.

Believe it or not, once you start wearing custom suits, you will feel the difference, the benefits of wearing them, and how you can flaunt your style!

Tailor one for you now >>>
Pro-tip for autumn styling: If you’re new to testing new suit styles or you consider yourself a beginner in fashion, then you first pick two to three different styles from what you’ve been wearing all these years for fall. And try the chosen ones every month (maybe once every two weeks). So that you don’t feel like you’re all new this year, yet you’re testing out what’s new and what works for you!

The bespoke vintage suit with today’s trend

#Throwbackthursdays

The black watch check pattern on this dark and light gray suit marvelously depicts vintage clothing patterns. Yet, the tailoring style of this suit keeps it in vogue. The suit is customized to be made-to-measure. In particular, the blazer is personalized with quite wide-notch lapels (for a vintage touch), and the buttons are carefully chosen in an antique model. Another vintage hint is the chain on the six-buttoned waistcoat. In fact, that’s a wonderful and unique accessory to this vintage suit!

A mildly checkered professional suit for this fall

#WearItWednesdays

Check out this mildly checkered (preferably, Prince of Whales check) on a dark charcoal gray plaid fabric! Such a perfect blazer for your weekly review meetings and gatherings. Though professional, it keeps you comfortable and casual throughout the day.

The blazer is mildly padded. A light pink shirt is paired with this dark suit to give it the best business look. The necktie can be the same color as the suit or a light maroon.

Rules for single-button, single-breasted suit

#TeachingsTuesdays

Hi men out there, learn the basic buttoning rules with us!
A single-button, single-breasted suit is an evening suit that’s quite longer than usual suits and has only one front button. As a rule, you have to fasten the only button on the blazer when standing. When sitting for dinner, you can unbutton them.

Well, unlike other blazers with two or more buttons, you don’t have a choice about whether to fasten the first or last button.

#MotivationalMondays

What a short but powerful quote by the great fashion designer! It’s true that people can’t keep buying clothes to dress up in new styles and for new seasons. Thus, you’ve got to learn to choose, mix, and match, but not buy new ones every time. Indeed, creating new outfit styles with what you already have is an art that every man must learn in their lifetime.

At Bucco, we keep giving tips on how to style yourself differently and in vogue. Keep in touch with us!

A floral red wool blazer for your romantic fall wedding!

#WeddingsbyBucco

Floral patterns are always a great choice for apparel when it comes to autumn. So, why not use them for styling your wedding suit?

The lovely white florals on this red suit spin the love tale between you and the bride. The brick-red border on the blazer fantasizes about your love and care for your lady. The cream trousers keep you calm amid the wedding eventualities. The maroon shirt and bowtie show how sentimental you are toward your everlasting relationship with your wife-to-be.
