FALL IS ON. GET YOUR OFFICE OUTFIT RIGHT!

This isn’t our first blog on Fall fashion. Just that we’ve bracketed the season’s some of the most popular office outfit options. This said the choice has never been easy! It’s time to get your office outfit absolutely right this Fall. Read on…

Give your Classic Navy some twist:
A well-tailored suit communicates to your clients and colleagues a strong message that you’re nicely positioned to take on the big challenges head on. A two-button suit can never fail to slim your silhouette. The classic navy suit is the perfect starter for job interviews, meetings or those nerve-wracking sales presentations. Pair it with a white spread collar dress shirt, and accessorize it with a solid navy. The versatility of the suit lies in its flexibility to conform to all dress shirts or styles including pattern. Fall can be a welcome season as you can pair your suit using a lightweight scarf for those bitingly cold and chilly dawning.

Wool Patterned Suit
A patterned suit is crafted to provide your style a certain level of depth. Give it a simple look; add a simple tie and allow the pattern to convey your sense of fashion. If you’re bold enough, go for a three-piece option with a double breasted vest. Accessorize with deep greens, navy and burgundy. A pocket square is guaranteed to keep the colors work both for your navy as well as your patterned suits. This suit option is the best fit through Fall and Winter. Invest in at least one seasonal suit as after all you’re going to wear it only once in a few months of the year. Good care of your suits (do refer to our previous blog posts) will help extend its life for several more years.

Casual Fridays:
Casual Fridays is a great opportunity to expand your repertoire of selection of style and color. Ditch your suit and tie, and go for a thin cardigan sweater. Team it up with a pair of dark denim jeans for a complete look. For sweater options, pick cardigan, V-neck merino wool and not-so-regular shawl collar for a complete collection.

Art of layering:
The art of layering plays an important role in defining Fall fashion. There are a range of ways to layer your outfit this season: a mac on top of a T-shirt and crew-neck sweater is a ready-to-go option. Probably an off-duty look you should learn to master. If you’re looking for something that is more smart or business casual, choose a trench coat, and layer with an Oxford button-down shirt or unlined sports jacket.

Shoes & Accessories:
With the right office attire, your choice of shoe turns out to be a tad more than black dress shoes. Let the first impression be the best one with oxfords, loafers, boots and derby. Remember that Fall and Winter accessories are not complete without Boots. Having the right pair of boots as accessories is worth every penny. Next, include a hat and scarf to your Fall wardrobe, and you’re ready to go this Fall.

Stay Warm And Look Good With This Gilet During The Fall

#FreestyleFridays
Don’t just tag gilet as a classic outwear piece; it’s one of the most versatile additions where a bit of coverage is required. Made for those breezy Spring or Fall days, it can generate an equally dashing look under your winter coat as well. The biggest advantage of down-filled styles is that they are the warmest, while they maintain a sleek look rather than puffy.

Five outfits for Men this Fall

A Patterned Blazer Adds More Personality To Your Outfit

WearItWednesday
A patterned blazer can throw a nice look with the combination of personality and integrating the right colors onto your outfit. If you love traditional patterns, then try houndstooth, windowpane, checks or even a puppytooth blazer. Pair the blazer with a neutral color polo shirt in grey, beige or navy, in addition to a pair of jeans for a semi-casual look. For a more casual look, put on your blazer over a smart shirt, and team it up with a pair of light-colored chinos for an effortlessly stylish look and feel.

Get To Know About Surgeon’s Cuffs

#TeachingTuesdays
If the buttons of your suit jacket or blazer are functioning buttons, also termed as “surgeon’s cuffs”, you can only shorten the distance from the bottom button to the end of the cuff, or you’ll need to pay your tailor a little more to move a button and hole.

This Friday Go For Tracksuit Bottoms For A Casual Look

#FreestyleFridays
Traditionally, tracksuit bottoms are a young man’s privilege. But being able to set the limits when dressing oneself is what decides the line between the boys and men. When it comes to choosing the right tracksuit color, go for contrast top and bottom. A simple, grey crew neck is always a winner, but other neutrals and earthy tones can also do the thing for you. For the sweatpants pick deep, rich navy blue tone.

The 70’s Punk Style Outfit

#ThrowbackThursdays
The era of ‘Counterculture’ gave its adopters a sense of true identity and belonging. Usually termed tribes, they were extremely original, bold and big– yet not niche to be tagged mainstream fad – to help shape their eras. They faced terrible opposition from the outsiders. A case in point is the emergence of the punk rock movement in the 1970’s.

Windowpanes – A Great Pattern If You Are Bored Of Plains

#WearItWednesday
The most challenging job for me is to rescue fashion from stuffiness. Take windowpanes, for example, it gives you a comfier, slouchy feel. No more is the emphasis in tailoring only on texture; windowpane has come a long way. I love checks—whether dainty gingham, traditional tartan or the vibrant plaids of a lumberjack shirt—they are sure to make a strong statement if you aren’t that finicky about colors.

Tip To Keep Your Collars In Place

#TeachingTuesdays
Do you find the collars of your shirt or polo shirt spiralling out of control? I prefer wearing shirts with button-down collars to overcome this challenge, but use a bit of double-sided tape on the interior of the collar that can help attach and keep your collars down all throughout the day. Sounds a bit tacky? Yes, it is.
