Brown suits exerted great influence as a professional wear in the 1970’s. Now, it has made a dramatic comeback in a big way. Reserved only for the professionals in the past, brown is now cool, especially when used in some throwback tailoring.
If you are to make a changeover from the rigid, highly structured, oversized lapel route of the 70’s, then go for a soft cotton number, with little to zero-padding in the shoulders, a two-button front and patch pockets. Accessorize with a striped tee, penny loafers and tonal pattern sock, without trying too hard at it.
